I want to first thank you for choosing Island Inspections- LLC! 

My name is Matt, I have spent over 20 years working in public safety, from paramedic to law enforcement. I know what it means to provide protection and ensure safety. I have been married to Jen for 18 years and we have three kids. Maintaining the desire to serve and protect, I became a SC Certified Home Inspector. I want to make sure the house you're purchasing is safe for you and your family to live in. 

Purchasing a home is probably the largest investment you will make and Island Inspections- LLC wants to make certain you KNOW what you're buying. It’s easy to get emotionally attached to a home. When you couple your joy with a thorough and complete inspection, you can rest assured that your investment is a good one. I will go through the house in a strategic and detailed manner. I provide a computer- generated report that is easy to read and understand. I utilize digital photographs to illustrate any areas of concern. So on closing day, you know you‘re making the best, sound decision in your investment.

Having gone through the home buying process myself with a family of 5, I know how important it is for the client to understand what’s going on every step of the way. Clients are welcomed and encouraged to accompany me on the day of the inspection. Upon completion of my inspection, you will be provided a well written, detailed report full of pictures of potential issues and defects.

 I adhere to the South Carolina Standards of Practice (SOP) and InterNACHI’s (SOP). Both scopes can be downloaded below.

I  hold  a  SC  Residential  Inspector  License,  as  well  as  a  SC  &  NC  General  Contractor’s  license.  Island Inspections- LLC is licensed and insured. RBI License # 49213 

Jen started her career as teacher. For nearly 21 years, she worked in the public school system. After moving to Pawleys Island, she continued teaching and started to feel God calling her into something else, we just didn't know what it was! Jen took a year off from teaching and began working as our Director of Operations. This new position was something out of her comfort zone, but that didn't stop her. She helped with marketing our company and improved the quality of customer care we were able to provide to our clients.
